Bona Drag

Sort of perfect:

More pretty stuff here.

Vintage Bridal

I don't see a wedding anywhere in my near future, but I've always loved looking at the dresses. I had a binder full of bridal mag. pages when I was like twelve that I kept in my room (it wasn't weird because my cover was that I sought a career in wedding planning, people believed me) I really wish I still had it. Anyway, I was reminded of this because earlier today I saw my mom's wedding gown from the 70's hanging in her closet and asked to try it on. It is completely handmade and fits me really well. I always knew my mama was a hippie but this here is proof:

Dress + Belt

Comfortable and easy just how I like it. (I would just like to add, none of these dresses put me out more than 20 big ones) xo

Nobody does it better.

The first time I fell for Betsey was on a field trip with a high school art class to San Francisco...I wandered around this little boutique and got lost from my group. I will always remember the sound of some angry person calling my name while I was cradling a tacky-perfect ruffled shoe...although, I'm afraid this was long before she had a hot pink website and jewelry/swimwear/lingerie lines. I wonder...

What is this print called? And why is it so hideous? Is it some kind of tie dye technique gone bad (well all tie dye is bad, in general, but that's coming from a biased "hippie town" beach girl) Is it strategic bleaching? I do not know. I have seen this mysterious print popping up here and there, and I say no thank you. Ugly ugly I don't want to look. Goodnight xo.
